What represents AgroInvest? AgroInvest is an agricultural portal that is based on a data driven approach, i.e. open data. Open data are data published and maintained by state institutions:
- Republic Geodetic Authority
- Ministry of Agriculture,
- Bureau of Statistics, like many others,
These are data that are available to everyone, but in a format that is unreviewed and unstructured.
The main goal of our portal is to help users make the best decision by providing them with insight into the right data, in an easy and simple but also detailed and categorized way. Our portal will allow users to decide WHERE it is most profitable for them to buy agricultural land, WHICH agricultural crop to grow on it, as well as HOW of income they can expect from it, all depending on which part of Serbia they decide to invest in.
Target groups of our portal are:
- Agricultural farms - entities of which there are the most in the agriculture sector,
- Agricultural companies - usually own more advanced agricultural machines and equipment,
- Investors - i.e. people who want to invest their funds in an agricultural farm or company in order to make some profit.
The portal consists of four pages:
- Home page,
- The data,
- Shop and
- Blog.
The Home Page shows a brief overview of the information we offer as well as the membership packages that offer benefits (Free, Standard and Advanced).
The Blog page is dedicated to informing users about current events and trends in agriculture, upcoming events. In this place, you can find all the information regarding subsidies that the state and state institutions offer to farmers (non-refundable grants, subsidies, discounts, tax breaks). It is also a place where users can interact with each other in the comments section.
The Data page is the core of the portal. It shows the data that creates the most value for users:
- Agricultural land prices,
- Prices of agricultural products,
- Yield of different agricultural products.
On the previous graph, we can see the movement of the price of a hectare of agricultural land in the period of 2022, in the territory of the city of Vršac. We are shown the minimum, average and maximum price of the land, which respectively amount to 4000€, 5100€ and 8200€. We were offered the option of exporting the data and the possibility of their further use, as well as the type of graph on which the data is displayed.
In a similar way, the movement of the yield of agricultural products, in this case fruit, in the eastern region of our country will be shown. The user is enabled to choose an agricultural product (fruits, vegetables, cereals) as well as a short selection (as in the shown example where data is displayed for apples, plums and cherries), as well as the region for which he wants to display the yield.
The last page, the Shop page, is responsible for displaying agricultural machinery, equipment and other inputs. It shows the prices of products from different agricultural shops. Prices are compared and the most favorable option is shown to the user as well as basic information about the product.
If all this sounds tempting and interesting to you and you want to invest in agriculture 🌾, feel free to contact us! We are at your disposal for any additional information.
